AMPLIFIED 2015 | Daniel 6:10 ¶ Now when Daniel knew that the document was signed, he went into his house (now in his roof chamber his windows were open toward Jerusalem); he continued to get down on his knees three times a day, praying and giving thanks before his God, as he had been doing previously. Bible Question:
Daniel prayed toward Jersusalem with his windows open. Daniel 6: When did this custon stop? We see Muslims pray that way today. I know we can pray anyway and anyplace now. Is there any signifance to bowing and facing to Jersusalem.? But mainly dis Jesus bow and face this way? Thank you, justme |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Neh 1:3-10, 2;4-5; Dan 6:10; Jhn 4:21 ... Greetings justme, I think Daniel was the only one to face toward Jersusalem. It was because his window faced that way. He didn't go outside. Nehemiah prayed for her, but the Bible doesn't say the direction he prayed ... only the direction of his heart. Jesus said the phyiscal location wasn't important ... but, again, where the heart was. People thought they had to go to a special place to pray. Hope this helps, Searcher |
