Bible Note: You said: "Frankly, I'll take 2003 sinners over 1953's Pharisees any day. My sense is Jesus would too. " Jesus may take "repenting" sinners. Many are very comfortable to stay in their sins. Here are key scriptures concerning repentance: Jeremiah 18:8 if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it. 2 Chronicles 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Ezekiel 18 30"Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways," says the Lord GOD. "Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. 31Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? 32For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!" Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God. Pastor Glenn |
