Bible Note: Hi Makarios, Daniel 12:7, "And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time; and as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these events will be completed." Hebrews 2:5, "For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking." Hebrews 2:5, NKJ, "For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels." Makarios, I think that these verses are interesting in comparing when we consider the importance of angels. Although important, what we want to see through these ministering spirits is Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels. We don't see all things subjected to Him yet, but we do see Him, namely Jesus. So I think that we have to see the difference between the Angel, even He who lives forever, and the angels who are ministering spirits. 1) Although the man dressed in linen seemed to know the outcome of these events and the time period, these things aren't subject to angels, Heb 2:10. Hebrews 2:21, "And it is He who changes the times and the epochs;..." 2) As for me, I will go my way until the end of my life. Daniel 12:13, "But as for you, go your way to the end; [marginal note, i.e. end of your life] then you will enter into rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the age." For me, the important time is NOW, TODAY, knowing that everything is in His hands. From the heart, Ray |
