i need detail explanation of ezekiel 31 st chapter.i need better explanation of verses from 6 to 10.i don't find any answer from anybody.can anybody give explanation about this with scriptures. i was confused whether it refers to eden,satan or not.as it says peoples are there in that time. upto my knowledge nobody has clearly explained about this chapter specifically.. Bible Answer: Greetings tjkathiresan! This is one of those passages where one must look at the context very carefully. Ezekiel 31 begins the fifth prophecy against Egypt. Verse 2, indicates that Egypt was very confident in it's might, so God uses an example that Egypt can relate to, another great nation by the name of Assyria. Throughout chapter 31, Assyria is compared to a great tree, which: ...towered higher than all of the trees of the field - v. 5. ...all the nations lived in it's shade - v. 6. ...no tree could match it's beauty - v. 8. ...Yet, it was cast aside and cut down because of it's wickedness - vv. 10-12. The warning of this prophecy is that the same thing will happen to Egypt - v. 18. So, the tree mentioned in vv. 6-10 is simply the nation of Assyria, which is being used as an example of warning for Egypt. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
