NASB | Ezekiel 22:26 "Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ezekiel 22:26 "Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things. They have made no distinction between the holy (sacred) and the profane (secular), they have not taught [people] the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. |
Bible Question: IN LEVIT.11 AND DUET. 14 GOD POINTS OUT THAT CERTAIN FOOD AS UNCLEAN. AS CHRISTIANS SHOULD WE BE PRACTISING THIS TODAY? |
Bible Answer: Lorrainbow: Swine (pork) was forbidden, but seafood was not except those species that did not have fins or scales (Leviticus 11:12). That would include shellfish, which has neither fins nor scales, and fresh-water catfish, which has fins but does not have scales. It is remarkable (or is it?) that modern nutritional science corroborates the wisdom of God's dietary laws laid down thousands of years ago. I've never heard of a restaurant that serves buzzard (Leviticus 11:13) under glass, have you? --Hank |
