AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ezekiel 18:20 "The person who sins [is the one that] will die. Bible Question:
The movie "The Passion" may give some people feelings of finding fault with the Jews instead of the religious leaders of the Jews. But we all individually have to decide about Jesus the Christ and are individually accountable to the Lord. In comparing Ezekiel 18:14-32 and John 14:4-6 what can we know about the ways of the Lord? From the heart, Ray |
Bible Answer: The Jews were strongly influenced by their leaders, according to some. Think about this ... You are one of the Roman soldiers who are on the crucifixion detail. You are also a follower/ believer in Him. You have no problem crucifying criminals. Then you see your Lord. You are assigned His right hand. You say to Him, "How can I?" He says, "You must." You ask, "Why?" He says, "Because I must die for the sins of all men, including you. If you don't do your task, some of the prophecies will not be complete. Plus, you will still be dead in your sins. I must die, so that you may live. You were born for such a time as this." Bottom line - It is I who crucified him. |
