Bible Question: What was the significance of rubbing a baby in salt? |
Bible Answer: Nolan, rubbing a baby in salt was still practiced by some Arabs as late as 1918 A.D. I think if we had a Arab friend who knows about the practice of the nomads it would help. My guess the salt either help in the cleansing or healing (of the cord being cut). Steve |
