NASB | Ezekiel 15:5 "Behold, while it is intact, it is not made into anything. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it still be made into anything! |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ezekiel 15:5 "Notice this, even when it was complete, it was not useful and was not made into anything. How much less, after the fire has burned [part of] it and [the remainder of] it is charred, can it still be made into anything? |
Bible Question: CAN WE DISCUSS THIS PASSAGE |
Bible Answer: Greetings YAA, Ezekiel 15:5 is an interesting passage.. Here's a little commentary on that verse. "15:4,5 thrown into the fire. The burning of the fruitless vine symbolized judgment in the deportations of 605 B.C. and 597 B.C. leading up to the final conquest in 586 B.C. Isaiah made the same analogy in his prophecy (Is. 5:1-7), saying Israel produced only useless sour berries."
