NASB | Jeremiah 31:25 "For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Jeremiah 31:25 "For I [fully] satisfy the weary soul, and I replenish every languishing and sorrowful person." |
Bible Question:
I am interested in the tenses of the various versions for this verse. NASB, " For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh [Lit. fill] everyone who languishes." Amplified, "For I will...I will replenish..." NKJ, "For I have satiated [Or, fully satisfied] the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul." Present tense, future tense, past tense. Are we filled, fully satisfied today? How does this verse relate to John 3:10 or John 7:38? From the heart, Ray |
Bible Answer: all those who are thirsty (for knowledge) he will satisfy ... all who are weary can find rest in Him. ask and you will recieve ... we ask because we want to know (knowledge) he will satisfy , refresh the weary soul (rest) so ... present, future or past ... this is a question you must ask yourself. R U washed in the blood of the Lamb of God ... are you resting daily in the Crucified? not a matter of Living Water or Holy Spirit |
