Bible Question: How do you interpret Jeremiah 3:19? Do you prefer the NASB or do you prefer the NKJ with its quotation marks around "My Father"? Who do you think is speaking here? |
Bible Answer: I BELIEVE READIN G FROM THE NIV VERSION JEREMIAH 3:19 THAT IT IS SAYING TO US THAT HE TREATED US LIKE HIS OWN HE IS GIVING US EVERYTHING AND THE WORD FATHER IS EMEPHIZE BECAUSE HE IS TREATING US LIKE A FATHER WOULD TREAT HIS OWN CHILDREN HE WANT US TO CALL HIM FATHER BECAUSE OF WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US BUT THEN WE TURN AWAY FROM HIM TO FOLLOW HIM THAT LIKE HURTING BASICLLY AFTER ALL I DONE I THOUGHT YOU WOULD C ALLME FATHER BUT YOU TURN AWAY |
