Bible Question: also is it just satan's big lie to make us question what is good? when we try to do better our situation seems to get worse, why? |
Bible Answer: Questioning what is good is caused by our sinful nature. (James 1:14, "Temptation comes from the lure of our own evil desires.") Why do situations often get worse when we do the right thing? Because sinful people are in the world who don't care about doing what is right. But if you do the right thing now, you will do better when you are judged later. (Ecclesiastes 12:14, "God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.") If you do the wrong thing now, you will do worse when you are judged later. But for your comfort, the apostles experienced the same thing. (Acts) |
