Subject: The "goodness" of man? |
Bible Note: Greetings Lionheart - yes, the heart of unregenerate man is wicked, but HOW should we see him? (As just wicked, or as worthy of the cross of Christ?) What makes us worthy of this awesome grace? (Man, being made in the image of God relates here, imo) What is the implication for us in our relationships with others . . . how we might encourage a non-believer to see himself? (God's love comes to mind) I completely agree with the Apostle Paul, in my flesh dwells no good thing - ah, but in my heart - there lies the Treasure, and if the Treasure has taken up residence there, my heart must also be holy - God tells us that it is, because He has given us a new heart. (Eze 36:26) This fact of a new Power Source should resonate throughout the church, empowering her to become the very arms and legs of Chrsit to a lost world - and yet sadly, we live from the habits of the old man all too often!
