Bible Question: Could someone lead me to notes on age of accountability? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Summerwind! Here is an interesting verse that could be used to support the idea of an "Age of Accountability".. Isaiah 7:16 "For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken." What does "know enough" mean in this passage? This seems to give support to the notion that a person is only accountable until they have knowledge of the law, since apart from knowing the law, we do not have knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20 "because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin." (NASB) If you would like to know more about the "Age of Accountability", then please do a 'Search' for that in the "Quick Search" function to the right. Thank you! Nolan |
