Bible Question (short): Can the mentally challenged go to heaven |
Question (full): I am in another Christian debate and the question came up and no one could answer it biblically so I would like to ask it here. Do mentally challenged people automatically go to heaven? I am not talking about those in a vegetated state but those who are slow. My sister in law is mentally challenged. She is being raised in a Catholic home so she understands Catholicism on a child's level. My husband and I both raised Catholic are not Catholic now. We have been members of the church of Christ for approx.10 years. She is strickly tuned into the mom and the mom is deep Catholic. Because my sister in law is mentally retarded mildly, will she go to heaven or not? What does the bible say on this, if anything? |
