NASB | Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 57:15 For the high and exalted One He who inhabits eternity, Whose name is Holy says this, "I dwell on the high and holy place, But also with the contrite and humble in spirit In order to revive the spirit of the humble And to revive the heart of the contrite [overcome with sorrow for sin]. [Matt 5:3] |
Bible Question: I didnt think so but my husband is not a believer and he was watching the history channel where they said there was a young boy who Jeremiah sent to get some food and when he fell asleep and when he returned many years had passed. The history channel individuals said even the bible talks about time travel. Unfortunately I'm not very knowledgable with the whole bible so just wanted to ask so that I could explain it to my husband. Thank you very much and God Bless You! |
Bible Answer: Be very careful with what the history channel says. In the past their experts were men and women usually on the fringes of Christianity. Many held the most liberal and often times totally unorthodox opinions. Without knowing exactly what was said it is hard to give an exact answer to your questions. However as someone posted earlier, God transcends time, so for God time travel into the future is meaningless. As best as I am aware of there is no account in scripture of Jeremiah sending anyone for food and to have them return many years in the future. |
