Bible Question: If God maked man and woman and placed them on earth: where satin lives why would He do that? does that make sense! god knows all thing, so this tells me that free will is not free cause we are bound by are flesh. Is it a test for the faithful. Can it be a personal war between God and satin to see who would win? Daniel would like to know |
Bible Answer: Dear Daniel, Welcome to the forum! Why questions are notoriously difficult to answer (186286). Clearly God could have handled things differently. The fact that He did not do so indicates that we simply do not understand His full intentions. However, there are some things that we can know quite clearly: (1) What He does is always perfectly righteous, holy, just, merciful, wise, and intentional (cf Isaiah 59:7-13). We do not judge God's character by what He does, we judge what He does by His character. (2) In the end, it will all be for God's glory (Isaiah 43:7) and His elect's good (John 17:9-23). (3) If it were essential for us to understand, He would have revealed it in the Word (Deuteronomy 29:29). By the way, all sin is rooted in a "personal war" with God. In Him, Doc |
