Bible Question: Shalom brothers and sisters. After seeing all the posts on predestination it got me to thinking about pharaoh. Since the Lord raised up Pharaoh so God could show His power, and his heart was hardened by God,I'm wondering if Pharaoh might not have been so cruel to the Israelites. Is it possible that before he was killed by the water that he was able to realise that God was who He said He was/is? I am NOT trying to start an argument, just trying to learn. Praise the Lord, michael |
Bible Answer: Hello Michael, Pharaoh's heart wasn't hardened until he wasn't willing to respond to the messanger of God. How we can compare this to today's life. God wishes that no mankind should perish but he is a gentle spirit. He has given us freedom of choice. Sometimes our pride and lust of the eyes and flesh get in the way and it blocks our decisions for what is right. You see God is a God who gives us chances and he gave us options of how to live, we serve Him or satan. In the book of Romans the 1st. chapter God talks about such things. He is a God of judgement as well as love, his wrath is being held back today. We compromise so much he said I will give you over to a rebrobate mind. Also some things are in honour some in dishonor but all glory goes to God. In the book of Isaiah God states His thoughts aren't ours nor His ways. So I believe before the destruction of pharoh God gave him warning after warning as he does with us today, that is why I love the scripture that says choose who you will serve today as for me and my household we shall serve the Lord. I love you and I pray for God's wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to fall upon on you as you continue to study the word of God that you become very fruitful and wise in Jesus. God bless you and may your purpose be fulfilled in Christ Jesus. I pray that something I said may touch your spirit. |
