AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 53:11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He shall see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge [of what He has accomplished] the Righteous One, My Servant, shall justify the many [making them righteous--upright before God, in right standing with Him], For He shall bear [the responsibility for] their sins. |
Bible Question:
Lionheart or Mark- Do you know if Christ was phyically happy or was he very monotone in His speech and action? He knew everything everyone would do before it happened, wouldn't that be painful? I know He did get angry and sad but what about joy and smiling besides when He was around little children. Does it say anywhere?????? ? |
Bible Answer: Hi Tashina, We can only really conjecture about Jesus' day to day moods, but consider this: Heb 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. What was that joy but the redemption of His bride? That's what He came here to do. As Jesus walked this earth, He was among His people, doing His amazing work. As the Bible says the angels rejoice over one sinner who repents, imagine how Jesus must have rejoiced as He saw the repentant hearts of those who heard His call. Is 53:11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Is 53:12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. He came to rescue us, because He loved us so much. I think He knew much joy and happiness. After all, He was here living the kind of life God wants us to live. And that certainly includes rejoicing. Love in Christ, Mark |
