AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 41:10 'Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].' [Acts 18:10] |
Bible Question: Is Anxiety a sin? |
Bible Answer: No. Anxiety is not synomous with disbelieving God. The anxiety center in the human brain has been found. There are actual bio-chemical causes for anxiety. I don't know why we want to find every opportunity to disregard who we are in Jesus and whose we are.Anxiety is no more a sin than Hunger, the fight or flight responce or autism. Paul even described much of what he went through in 2Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that the extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us. 2Cor 4:8 We are experiencing trouble on every side, but are not crushed; we are perplexed, but not driven to despair; 2Cor 4:9 we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are knocked down, but not destroyed, 2Cor 4:10 always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our body. |
