Bible Question (short): Isaiah 40:1 |
Question (full): It sounds a bit odd to me when Isaiah addressed "says your God" which gives me the feeling that he is not part of the Israelite and "God" is not his God (he looks like an outsider). I have also checked the prior chapters and found this is not the usual way of speaking in Isaiah's proclamation or prophesies. 1/ Is chapter 40 written by Isaiah? 2/ Was it only an emphasis by using "your God" that Isaiah wanted the Israelite to be affirmed with their relationship with God? Thanks you. Shalom Azure |
