Bible Question:
A hermeneutics question. Under the concept of "double fulfillment" of prophecy, could Isaiah 18:1-7 be referring not only to the ancient Israel situation but also of the United States today? Thank you and God bless! |
Bible Answer: Heard on Christian radio: Spiritual and literal Babylon is NOT the UN or the USA. That God would set aside His final appointment with ancient Babylon to target the USA is absolutely preposterous. I am a literalist and I see no reason to tinker with reality to get the USA the honor of being in prophecy. We have no guarantee that the USA as we know it will still be in existence when the major events of the Rapture and the Great Tribulation take place. Grace to you, Kalos |
