Bible Question: Some translations have the "Morning Star" as the one cut down to the earth. How is this reconciled with Jesus Christ as the bright Morning Star? |
Bible Answer: Hi, The morning Star refers to Lucifer i.e the devil and not Jesus. The morning star is used to refer to the angels. Job 38: 7 "while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy" So here in Isaiah it the prophet describe the plight of the proud Babylon whom God will destroy. This point is usually alluded to the Devil as he was an angel before. You can learn more from the commentry on Isaiah by Matthew Henry.
