Bible Question: What do colors represent? Primarily, green, yellow, red, brown, blue, violet, black, etc.. |
Bible Answer: Dear Jazzycamp, You asked “What do colors represent?” As Searcher already pointed out, the Bible does not define any one color as representing any one thing (that I know of). It would be best to study the colors in context of the verses that mention them. Beyond that, it would simply be guessing. So “What do colors represent?” That all depends on who you ask. If you were to ask me, for example, you’d get a smart-alecky answer like “Green is the color of grass. Yellow is the color of the snow that’s bad to eat. Red means stop. Brown means it’s old and the reason the fridge stinks. Blue means that I’m sad. Violet’s a flower and black is the presence of all colors.” See what I mean? :-) Ocelot |
