Bible Question: Song of Solomon 1:12 -- are the king and the absent lover two different individuals according to the amplified? |
Bible Answer: Hello melindajo, Evidently, the editors of the Amplified have reasoned that there are three people being spoken of in Song of Solomon--the woman, the lover, and the king. I don't follow this way. It seems more reasonable to say there are only two people--the woman and the lover (who is also the king). Steve |
