Bible Question:
Hi: There seem to be no unanswered question on the forum at present. This is a question I asked earlier, but I never found an answer to it. Is there anyone out there willing to try. This passage says that the dead know nothing. It cannot be taken out of context of the rest of the scriptures. Some have said that other passages contradict this statement "The dead know nothing". Any statement contradicting the above, would mean "the dead know something". Can anyone showe me how the statement "the dead know nothing can be interpreted that the dead know something? Bible Answer: Emmy and Henry, In light of Ecc 9:5, "This passage says that the dead know nothing. It cannot be taken out of context of the rest of the scriptures." how do you understand the passages below? Matt 22:32 'I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB'? He is not the God of the dead but of the living." Matt 17:3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Luke 9:30 And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah, Luke 9:31 who, appearing in glory, were speaking of His departure which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
