Bible Question:
This is about Ecclesiastes 5:4-5. I see what its says about making vows or promises to God. My question is how can it be better explained for me to understand it. |
Bible Answer: Okay, here is the verse for refrence, i have added the stuff in parenthasis it is my explanation. hope this helps! john. Ecc 5:4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it (don’t forget to pay what you said you would/ or do what you said you would do); for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Ecc 5:5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow (it is better that you didn’t offer God anything, than you offered and didn’t “pay up”), than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. don’t forget to pay what you said you would/ or do what you said you would do it is better that you didn’t offer God anything, than you offered and didn’t “pay up”/do it |
