Bible Question: Could someone explain proverbs 31 to me. |
Bible Answer: This is a son rehearsing the instruction his mother taught him. Simply put, this is of: 1. Responsible living in consideration of his station in life. 2. The responsibilties of a leader of the people. 3. The value and description of a good wife. While this is certainly oversimplified, I think that what Lemuel's mother wanted him to understand was that these are certain things you should avoid, but these others, these are things you should want, and of all these, to be married to a good woman is right up there at the top. To which I would give a hearty "Amen!" Love in Christ, Mark |
