NASB | Proverbs 26:2 Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying, So a curse without cause does not alight. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Proverbs 26:2 Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, So the curse without cause does not come and alight [on the undeserving]. [Num 23:8] |
Bible Question: Do you believe in curses? How shall we break it and make it stay permanently and confidently freedom in us from those who are out of jealousy to curse us? |
Bible Answer: This verse means that silly curses have no effect. Nobody really has the power to speak curses over you because God is the only one able to claim judgement. Being saved, I don't have to worry about being cursed, or put under some witchcraft spell, hex, or voodoo because I've been freed to worship God. See John 8:36. |
