AMPLIFIED 2015 | Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God's wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old he will not depart from it. [Eph 6:4; 2 Tim 3:15] |
Bible Question: Is "tough love" biblical. (Please list biblical references.) |
Bible Answer: No Tough love isn't mentioned in the Bible. However proverbs tell us to train up a child. This is where many people go wrong they refuse to train. Instead they try other things, which usually only work for a short time. Training requires dedication, consistency and love. I have seen this work in many families. Proverbs 22:6 6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. EdB |
