Bible Question: What is the true biblical teaching on child decipline.how do we seperate state laws of 'child abuse and biblical decipline' |
Bible Answer: Proverbs tell us to "Train up a child in the way he should go". Scripture also teaches us not to exasperate our children. There are many more scripture dealing with the raising of children, and I think if you follow the true biblical teachings, you will not get into the area of abuse. Punishment is to be used in relation to the the deed, but never done in anger. The age of the child has to be taken into account, also. James Dobson has written some very good books on the rearing of children. I would advise reading some of these. Debbie |
