Bible Question: Looking for scripture that tells us not to bring up past sins or the past of someone in order to humiliate them |
Bible Answer: Use this opportunity to witness for Christ Jesus. He has told us that if we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive us our sins and remember them no more. Tell this person or persons that the Lord promised to forgive you if you ask Him to and that is what you did. Tell them what you did was wrong and you have asked for forgiveness and the Lord has forgiven you. No more explanation is needed other than that. It is a sad fact that some people will never forgive us for our sins and that is a consequence we have to live with, but with Christ Jesus He has promised to help us to live through it with the power of His Holy Spirit. Ask for strength and wisdom and peace from Him. He is the One to whom we are responsible. May God Bless you and Merry Christmas. Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool. Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins. |
