Bible Question (short): A bribe or a present? |
Question (full): Provewrbs 17:8 in two translations (NASB, AMPLLIFIED)says "A bribe...". The NKJ says "A present...". The Wycliff nbible dictionary says that the Hebrew word shohad means a gift, but in a corrupt sense, a bribe. Is Shohad used in this verse in the Hebrew Bible.
