Bible Question: Okay, Im getting ready to go to college, but the colleges that ive had a strong desire to go to have put me on a waiting list, not knowing whether or not they want to except me. So, my question is, do you think that God does have a certain plan for everyones life? and if so then why would such a big desire in my heart be turned down? By the way, im only 18 so if this sounds kinda childish its because im kinda stressed right now, But thanks anyway |
Bible Answer: Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD'S purpose that prevails. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV notes: Jer 29:11 We're all encouraged by a leader who stirs us to move ahead, someone who believes we can do the task he has given and who will be with us all the way. God is that kind of leader. He knows the future, and his plans for us are good and full of hope. As long as God, who knows the future, provides our agenda and goes with us as we fulfill his mission, we can have boundless hope. This does not mean that we will be spared pain, suffering, or hardship, but that God will see us through to a glorious conclusion.) |
