Subject: How is hope deferred? |
Bible Note: Greetings terrib! Thanks for the reply - Are you are suggesting that the 'hope' that is deferred is what God has in store for us when we get to heaven? Since this is such a wonderful promise, how could it make the heart sick? This doesn't make sense to me, but I'm going to put that into the think tank too as I continue to explore what God would have me to understand from this verse. Jesus said that He came to give us life - abundant life , right here, right now! See my post to Sharon Fanning on this thread. Obviously, there is a connection with what we desire too, what is the object of our desire (God or self)? When we delight in the Lord, He gives us HIS desires (Ps 37:4)- would these make the heart sick or a wellspring of life, overflowing with His love?! As we seek after Him with our whole heart, we are exercizing the hope that is within us . . . just some thoughts. Blessings, mommapbs |
