Bible Note: My Friend, I call you my friend because I also was in bondage to drugs and alcohol. In fact your testimony sounds like mine! Psalms 1:1 says "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungoldly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." I have been completely set free from drugs and alcohol for 2 years. I am not a counselor, but I was an addict, I know the maddness and everthing else that goes with it. Anyway as I was saying, Psalms says don't walk in the counsel of the ungodly, God put it in my heart not to get counsel from people who aren't Christians, and only from those who know what they are speaking of, because there are a lot of people who mean well, but they miss the mark. The solution to our problems was drugs and alcohol, the wrong solution. The problem is within, and the solution is Jesus. You say Romans 7:15-25 is your theme song, why not Romans 7:24-25? Listen, can I get back to you? Or contact me at glorod7@aol.com, I have an appointment to get to, and there is much more I would like to address here, ok! Your post caught my eye and I wanted to touch bases with you. Yes there is HOPE, and you know the Lord, and He is bigger than that addiction you have been carrying around for all these years. God Bless you real good. |
