AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 34:29 ¶ When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hand, he did not know that the skin of his face was shining [with a unique radiance] because he had been speaking with God. |
Bible Question: Did Moses face always shine after he met with God at Mount Sinai? Did Moses always have to wear the veil on his face when he was with the people? |
Bible Answer: Greetings kgj1264! Exodus 34:29-35 mentions how Moses' face began to shine after he spoke with God. 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 seems to convey the meaning that Moses' face began to 'fade.' I believe that his face began to fade after being away from the radiance of God. But yes, I do believe that Moses did have to wear a veil each time after he met with God to hide the radiance, so that he could speak with the people. Blessings to you, Makarios |
