Subject: Was the OT God of Moses merely an angel? |
Bible Note: Hello Reighnskye, The Father and Son are distinct persons but each is the only true God. That's what Scripture teaches. As for your original question, look at Judges 6:11-23. The angel of the Lord appears to Gideon. At the beginning, Gideon doesn't know who this is. Later he calls the angel Jehovah--identifying him as God. You wrote: "It is my personal impression that the Father was worshipped through Michael the archangel (or angels) just as we worship the Father through Jesus Christ. We have a new mediator in Christ." Don't make such claims without a Scriptural basis. Steve |
