Bible Answer: Greetings koko, There were many ceremonial laws as well as laws as what could be eaten and what could not (see Lev 11). All of these laws were under the old covenant. We are now under the new covenant and not responsible for keeping these laws.
The boiling of a young goat had to do with a ritual that the Canaanites practiced. Since God did not want the Isrealites to practice any ritual of the Canaanites He outlawed this practice to make sure that it was not copied. prayon
