Bible Question: Love slave is mentioned in the O.T. (Ezekiel I think) Is there anywhere in the N.T. that refers to the same or similar reference? |
Bible Answer: Hi ceebee7, Is this the verse you are thinking of? Exodus 21:5 "But if the slave plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife and my children; I will not go out as a free man,' If so, I am not aware of a similar reference in the New Testament, however, the Greek word "doulos" is often used refering to Christian, and I have heard many teachers say that this is the "bond-slave", or slave by choice as described in Exodus. That seems to fit! I hope this helps! Love in Christ, Mark |
