Bible Question:
Would someone tell me if the word ( sabath ) mean saturday in which langish. and if it means saturday why do we as christain take sunday when the bible says to keep the sabath holy, thanks for your comments A.R.I.S.E |
Bible Answer: Arise, Sabbath does not mean Saturday, not even in Hebrew. It is the name of the Seventh day, the day that the Lord rest after Creation. We do not take Sunday as the Sabbath. We just do not take the Sabbath anymore. The Sabbath is a day of congregation, to be kept holy; is a sign that God put between Him and His people; He says that for this sign He will recognize us. The fourth beast of Revelation, whose power was given to him by Satan, had change it, as it was writen in Daniel (will think to change laws and times). It was change based in false interpretations of the book of Acts and what the beast call traditions, for convinience, they said. Now we have a day of congregation that is not the Sabbath, neither holy, nor the Sabbath of the Lord that we are commanded to keep. The Sabbath is still the Sabbath and we should keep it holy, which does not mean we should not congregate on Sunday. It is hard for all these people that knows every thing, to understand they were not following the Law of God, but the deception of Satan. That is called pride. They will argue that the Law was abolished, which is half the true, because only the ceremonial law was abolished, but not the Eternal Law (the 10 Commandments). They will argue that God sees the hearth, not the form, this is also half true because he insist many times in keeping the Sabbath, the weekly Sabbath, no the special Sabbaths. They will argue that is enough to worshipping the Lord in any given day, as long as we all congregate, and this will substitute for the Sabbath, this is false because the Lord said "keep my Sabbath" he does not say "a Sabbath" but "my Sabbath". Who are we to change the day that the Lord made holy, and a sign and order to congregate on it. "Those who love me keep my Sabbath." Changing the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday has many connotations for the Deceiver. 1. The only way the Sabbath, the Day after creation could be the first day ofd the week is if there was no creation. 2. To desobey one of the ten Commandaments, for "good reasons", make us think that we can also find good reasons to desobey any of the other nine. 3. The Beast thinks the sign between our Lord and His people is destroyed, therefore he can better substitute the Christ. 4. If you accept his power on this you will accept his power on more. "He will deceive even the elect". The mark of the beast is a chip in the mind of short people. The mark of the beast is the way he think (mark on the head) and the way he acts (mark on the hand), because we are suppose to think with our head and act with our hands. We should try to keep the Sabbath, even if it is not the day of congregation anymore. It is holy because the Lord made it Holy. This of course are my comments, they came from the study of Exodus, Leviticus, Daniel and Revelations. They number of references is too large to put then here, but if you want to go over them then narrow your question, it will be my pleasure to go into details. We already went into a discussion about the subject and it was useless, because of pride. The point is not that the Sabbath is still the Sabbath or not. The point as I understand from your question is that we lost the holy day of the congregation, the sign of the Lord and many christians as you and me are questioning the Sunday and trying to go back to the seventh day of the week, the Sabbath of the Lord.
