Bible Question: What mountain did God meet the Isrealites on? In Genesis. |
Bible Answer: Greetings ineedhelp101! There are two mountains that are mentioned in the book of Genesis that I can immediately recall: Mt. Ararat (Genesis 8:4), where Noah's Ark rested after the flood, and Mt. Moriah (Genesis 22:2) where Abraham was tested by God to offer up his only begotten son, Isaac. The author of Chronicles (2 Chr 3:1) identifies Mt. Moriah as the temple mount in Jerusalem, or Mount Zion. But God actually met the Israelites on Mount Sinai (Exodus 19:18). Blessings to you, Makarios |
