Bible Question: Does the Bible ever mention any honor Moses' sons might have received? Aaron and his sons were priests and I wondered if the professions of Moses' sons was ever mentioned. |
Bible Answer: Exodus 2:21-22 mentions Gershom and Exodus 18:4 mentions Eliezer. These are his two sons. They are noted to have been associated with the tribe of Levi but nothing special is said of their duties so it looks like from scripture they were just sons of no special distinction. There is some Jewish midrash that has what seems to be apocryphal information to build up the sons of Moses, who himself was one of the most important figures for the Jewish people. |
