AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 16:3 and the Israelites said to them, "Would that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and ate bread until we were full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger." |
Bible Question: Since the children of Israel left Egypt with abundant lifestock, why did God have to provide manna for them in the wilderness? |
Bible Answer: God provided them with Manna after they were complaining, because they were used to a certain "lifestyle" of abundance of food, and in the wilderness they did not have this luxury, so God answered their complaints by giving them manna. (read Exodus 16) |
