Bible Question: I need to know the different names used in the bible for God and where to find them? |
Bible Answer: I believe that there is only one name as Psalm 83:18 says. The word 'alone' is in reference to His Name and conveys the meaning that He only has one name, not many names. All other word references to Him would be mere attributable titles, not names. Note also that when Scripture gives reference to His Name it is always singlar (name), not names. The only occurrences in Scripture that a plural 'names' is used is in reference to deities (eg. idols, gods). Also, I would like you to especially note the scarlet coloured beast in Revelations full of blashemous names [plural] (Revelation 17:3).
