Bible Question:
My question is about John 10:34 when Jesus quotes the OT Psam 82:6 saying "I say you are gods". Is he refering men as gods literally or does He mean something else? - Im asking this question because I am a christian in a Mormon school, and their ideas of God and Jesus Christ are very different than those I have, please somebody Helpp!! :D |
Bible Answer: If you read the whole verse you will see that it says, "6 I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.' 7 But you will die like mere men; you will fall like every other ruler." He isnt referring to us as gods, but as mere mortals that will fade away like every other material object in this world. i know i didnt help much but i hope that you can understand what it is trying to say. I hope that everything goes well at the school and that you stay strong in the Lord (and maybe convert some of those mormans while you are there) Good luck |
