Bible Question: Can you explain chapter 62 of psalms for me, or am I not forming the right way for you to answer? Thanks Juel |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Psalm 62 ... Juel, greetings and welcome to the forum. I chose to give my answer here. When looking for an answer, look at the context. In this case the entire Psalm. You ask about "waiting for the salvation of God" ... I don't see David waiting, but knowing he can go to God who is his salvation (vv 1,2,6) rock (vv 2,6) and fortress (vv 2,7) and that he cannot be shaken (vv 2,6). In verses 3-4, he is talking to his assailants. Then in verses 5-7, he goes back to remainding himslef who God is and what He does. Verse 8 is a challenge to the people. Verse 9 tells us that we are equal (a breath). There is a warning in verse 10. The psalm closes with saying back to God what has heard from God - that He is strong and loving ... and a rewarder (vv 11-12). I hope I answered your question, Searcher |
