Bible Question: What does this verse mean? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Psa 1, 37, 73, 91, 111, 119 ... DealWitIt, greetings and welcome to the forum, Parable, Ray, Timothy Paul and Burning Bush all have passed on good thoughts. Let me add, when you look at Psa 37:1, look at the context. In this case, the immediate is verses 1-2. Do not fret or be envious about those who do evil or do wrong ... do not want anything they have ... for it all will go away. Then look at the entire chapter, where you'll see David is writing about godly wisdom. The next level of context is the rest of the book. These are some of the Psalms that talk about godly wisdom (Psa 1, 73, 91, 111, 119). Then, there are other places in the Bible you can look at, including Pro 3:31, 23:17-18, 24:19 and Mat 6:25-33. Hope this helps, Searcher |
