Bible Question: a person who is strung out on drugs!!!!!!! IF they claim they belive, will they go if they are NOT SOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their are thousands of people whom are on drugs who go to church. |
Bible Answer: Merely "claiming" to believe, or attending church, or being baptized, do not, of themselves, mean that everyone who does them is a regenerated (born-again) child of God. Your "thousands of people" who are on drugs and yet go to church will not be saved simply because they attend church, whether they are zonked out on drugs or not. Church attendance, vital though it is to a Christian, constitutes an act of obedience, i.e., to worship God, but it does not save. What saves? The grace of God through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. That is what saves. And the only thing that does. --Hank |
