NASB | Psalm 29:5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Psalm 29:5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. |
Bible Question: What do the cedars of Lebanon represent? (see Ps. 29:5) Why are these used in comparisons? I guess, basically why are they so important? I'm sorry, I just don't know much about them. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Psa 29:5, Isa 2:13 ............. Psalm 29 is a praise Psalm. It also shows how praise is related to worship and not the same as worship. Our Lord's voice is heard over His creation over the mighty cedar tree (Isa 2:13). |
