Bible Question: This Scripture declares that the heavens declare His Glory. Once, I heard this is to be taken literally. That indeed the stars etc. proclaim His message. Has anybody ever seen or heard more about this topic? |
Bible Answer: Hi, T'oma! Many scientists have studied and written much about the universe... they marble at the stars: their greatness (mass and number), their beauty (both physical and aesthetical existence)... yet, they cannot explain them beyond simplistic theories... God, on the other hand, promised Abraham that his descendants would number as the stars in heaven (this before scientist discovered, through technology, that there were not thousands but millions of stars) and that He created them with purpose, and that it is His Will (Might) that keeps them in their place! Just take our planet (one of those stars)... it rotates on itself while rotating around the sun... it never leaves its place and any minor deviation is self-corrected! We are truly meeting space travelers each and every single day of our lives! ...and with all that travel, we neither use security belts to keep us in place nor do we fall of the face of the earth... and have you thought about the special relationship between the earth, its moon, the sun and the other planets? ...who is to say that the earth's gravitation is not influenced by the other planets just as the moon influences the tides and the sun influences all life on earth? ...what a marvelous Creator, everything has a purpose and everything is in its place! Truly the heavens demonstrate His Glory! God Bless! Angel |
